How to Order Your Custom AC Panel
Follow these steps carefully to ensure an accurate fit:
1. Measure Your Window Frame (Important)
Your AC panel is designed to sit on the window frame, not inside the opening.
Measure the outer dimensions of the frame where the panel will rest.
Measure the full height and width of the frame
Do not measure the open gap or interior space
The panel will overlap and sit on this surface
2. Account for Handles, Cranks, or Hardware
If your window has:
Handles
Cranks
Locks
Any protruding hardware
You must include cutouts (notches) in your design so the panel can sit flush.
These will be CNC-cut into your panel based on your design.
3. Select the Correct Size Range
Next, choose the drop down option based on your smaller dimension.
Example:
If your panel measures 19” H x 49” W, your smaller dimension is 19”. You would select “18”–23” from the drop down menu.
If you choose the wrong range, your order may be delayed or incorrect.
4. Enter Your Exact Dimensions
After purchase, enter your exact:
Height
Width
These are the final dimensions we use for fabrication.
5. Design Your Panel & Submit Your Design
Use our AC Panel designer to:
Include the exact height and width of your custom panel
Position your exhaust hole
Add any required notches for handles or hardware
After using our AC panel designer, email your panel design to design@klolab.com and include a photo of your AC hose adapter so we can match the exhaust hole precisely.
If you prefer, you can also send a hand-drawn diagram and a photo of your adapter.
We’ll use this information to create your final design proof.
6. Review & Approval Before Production
Once your design is submitted:
We review your file or drawing
We create a design proof showing all dimensions, cutouts, and exhaust hole placement
You’ll receive this proof to review and approve
Production only begins after your approval, ensuring everything is accurate before fabrication.
